Thesis: "war of the sexes in the work field". Do males face the same kind or types of struggles in the work field when they have jobs in the "female area?"
Point 1: when working in a "female" job are males assigned to do their job because of their job title or their sex/gender.
Point 2: when claiming the corporate ladder as a male is it viewed good or bad. is that the manly thing to do is it just cheating the system?
Point 3: what is the female outlook in the working world when a man has a "female" job. How do females really feel about men coming into the field?
This is a very interesting topic and I'm assuming, based on your outline, that you'll use Williams' article to compose your argument. But your thesis is quite broad? Why don't you focus on one specific female profession which attracts male workers? You should probably pick one of the 'female' professions Williams mentions in her article.
ReplyDeleteYour first two points are closely related and explore the issue of men in a 'female' profession. As for the third point- how women feel/view men in 'female' professions- how does it support your argument whether men face discrimination in 'female' professions? Will you focus on the women men work with? Discrimination from the outside? This would be more clearer if you composed the proposal and the annotated bibliography. Please complete these two assignments, as both are currently late.
